PRADA?...... GUCCI?.... ARMANI?

How to Choose Sunglasses for Face Shape

Have you ever visited like a billion sunglasses stores and returned empty handed? No? Well, have not just once but a gazillion times. I am one of the most confused person on earth when it comes to picking a sunglasses for myself, I mean I like every color, lens and frame in the shop, although I can select sunglasses for everyone around the globe, I can never do it for myself. :(
Here’s an article which will help you select the most suitable and prominent sunglasses for yourself this summer.
I know how it is to try out every frame you like in the store, but then here are some guidelines which may help you in getting to know as to which frame will suit your respective face shape, thus saving your time and effort. :)

The 3 main things to be kept in mind before picking sunglasses are:
• Never contrast your eye color and the color of the lens. Like Grey eyes look great with Grey lenses.
• Never match your face shape and the shape of your face. Like round frames for round faces. NO!
• Never go overboard with the size of the frame, similarly never pick a drastically smaller sized frame.

Face shapes and sunglases:

The round face shape: A round face can be described as a face with proportionate curved lines and no angels at all. If you want to elongate your face and make it looker slimmer than opt for narrow angular deep frames with a bridge to widen the eyes. Rectangular frames are the best picks.
The oval face shape: Oval shaped people are one of the luckiest ones when it comes to sunglasses, since they have balanced proportions. People with oval faces must opt for wider sunglasses; the sunglasses frame is supposed to be broader than the broadest feature on your face. You can also opt for a shallow not too narrow frame.
The Oblong face shape: This face type is wide, but long and the cheek line is generally straight with a long nose. For balancing and making the oval face look shorter deep frames are recommended, also deep frames with contrasting temples help a great deal in adding width to the face, and of course to shorten the long nose a shorter bridge is recommended.
The base down triangle face shape: This kind of face is dominated by a narrow forehead and wide cheeks and chin. It is very important to pick the right frame for this kind of face, and emphasize the upper third area of the face which is narrow. You must pick frames which have heavy tints and detailing, cat eye frames are a great pick for you.
The base up triangle face shape: The upper third of this face type is wide whereas the lower third is narrower. The main concern of people with this face type must be to minimize the upper third of the face by making it look thinner, which can be achieved by trying frames with a broader bottom, the color tints must be light and rimless frames are an excellent pick.
The diamond face shape: These faces tend to be narrow and thin at the jaw line and near the eyes, but they have broad high cheekbones. You can say this is one of the rarest shapes of faces ever seen. The main concern here should be to accentuate the eyes and alleviate the cheekbones, detailed frames or frames with different brow lines can be great.
The square face shape: A strong jaw line, and a wide forehead with balanced and proportionate portions make a square face. In order to make this look long , one should pick narrower frames and the frames must have more width with extra depth.

Hope these tips help all you beautiful ladies in picking the best pair of sunnies, this summer.
